To help teachers to view report card samples, Gradelink uses the following tool to print PDF copies.

File download:
http://www.cutepdf.com/download/CuteWriter.exe
The PDF writer is free and has been tested by Gradelink and myself. Follow the normal steps to print a Gradelink report card, and then select the appropriate PDF writer as the output. Once you select the PDF writer as the output option, click "Preferences" and then choose "landscape" as the orientation. Next, select "Legal" for the paper size, this is found under the "Advanced" button within the same preferences screen.

To answer the above questions first: The progress reports are quite easy and versatile. My school (St. Catherine's in Laguna Beach) is using the attendance program on Gradelink and it seems to be going smoothly. So far my faculty and staff have had little complaints about Gradelink.
Does anyone know how we go about dealing with a student withdrawal on Gradelink? Should s/he be removed from the Attendance class after the withdrawal date?

So far so good. Only a couple of drawbacks: - if your connection is down, you cannot post your grades and you cannot cut and paste a series of grades from your personal grade book or spreadsheet. Regarding the connection issue, it would be good if our personal computers had a stand alone application which allowed the grades to be uploaded so we could work independently.
Other than that, I think it's great! I especially like the ability to view the student profile and click on the parents' e-mail addresses in order to communicate the progress of their children quickly. (Depending of course, if the parents' e-mail addresses have been entered.) I have had to work with other on-line gradebooks and this one is the best I have used so far.
