Needs or Wants

Do you have equipment or software you don't need or want? Maybe you have upgraded operating systems and can no longer use the old versions. Our schools are so varied it might be that someone else might be able to use what you have. So, before you throw it away, post it here and maybe someone else will be lucky enough to be able to use it.

Ever wonder where is the best place to buy something or the best (or worst) brand of something for your lab or classroom? Tell us here. We all love a good deal - and good quality.

I am looking for an electric screen to place in my computer lab. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to purchase or what brand? Thanks!!!

Does anyone have a recommendation on where to purchase projectors and what brand to purchase. I need to get at least 4, hoping for 8... Also I need rolling/mobile carts. What should I try to get as far as lumens, ect. Your help is greatly appreciated.

NComputing - St. Bonaventure School is currently using NComputing on a no-risk trial basis for 60 days. NComputing is a multi-user technology which allows simultaneous access to a single PC. The website to learn more about the technology is www.ncomputing.com/edu or call 1-888-365-1210 and ask for code "edu". The NComputing expansion kit for 3 users with tax and shipping is $269.52 plus the cost of 3 monitors, 3 keyboards and 3 mice. For under $900 you can have 4 "computers" instead of 1. The kit was installed on 2/3/08 and the teacher has her students using Microsoft Word and Renaissance Place (web-based) on the system. The teacher thus far has given a thumbs-up to the system.
