Video
Welcome to the video page. Here you can post links or videos you find that would be of interest to other teachers. If you find a video on Youtube, you can convert it to play using Quicktime or Windows Media. How? Here are 2 websites that can help you do that.
The first is www.vixy.net - a FREE online FLV converter. All you have to do is insert the web address of the video, select the format you want to convert to such as AVI or MOV, and the file will be converted for you. This is helpful if you want to show a video but you either can't be online, Youtube is blocked at your school, or you don't want to risk having something inappropriate pop up on your screen in front of the class.
Another great website is http://www.mediaconverter.org/. This website converts your file immediately.
Another helpful website is www.zamzar.com. This site converts all kinds of files - documents, images, music, and video. Another difference from vixy.net is that the converted file is emailed to you rather than an instant conversion. Again, this service is FREE!
You can post a video on the wiki in two ways - you can just put the link, or you can embed the video. Examples of both are found below.

Want to make some of your own? There are several ways to do it. You can actually use a video camera, as in the case of the Perimeter Rap video, or you can create a show using Photostory, iMovie, or other programs and turn it into a video. If you are interested, let us know and we would be happy to teach you. What a fun way to teach a point to the kids or have the kids teach each other.
If you find a great, informative, or just amusing video, share it with us here on this page.
